It all started with sourdough
When I first got into photography, a friend of mine had just opened a sourdough bakery, and I jumped at the chance to help her out. I thought, “How hard could this be?” I showed up, set up my camera, and took some beautiful photos… of bread.
I was so focused on making the loaves look good that I completely missed the heart of her brand: her story.
There were no photos of her kneading the dough, her hands pulling fresh bread from the oven, or her delivering fresh loaves to happy customers. And I completely overlooked the details that made her bakery special—like the way she sourced local ingredients and built relationships with farmers. I captured the product, but I missed the story.
That experience stuck with me. Because a brand isn’t just what you sell—it’s who you are, the connections you create, and the heart behind your work.
Since then, I’ve made it my mission to help business owners show up as the face of their brand, connecting with their audience through images that feel intentional, authentic, and tell their story.
