This is why I’m obsessed with Confidence.

When Julie came to me, she wasn’t a big fan of hanging out in front of the camera. It made her feel uncomfy, and as a result, she didn’t have brand photos she loved.

I knew this was a time for me to put on my confidence cape and grab my cheerleading pom poms.

Who am I kidding, I wear those for every client. 😂

But what we also did was get really clear on her vision so that Julie felt understood and I could make really strategic suggestions for her shoot.

Julie’s vibe is dark, moody, and feminine. Think cigar lounge meets Julia Roberts in a power suit. And I had THE studio in mind for her shoot - deep greens, velvet furniture, and perfect lighting. We went back and forth on her wardrobe until she had pieces that were comfortable for her and screamed powerful, feminine, and refined. During the shoot, I made sure her poses felt strong and natural with a touch of softness.

Guess what happened?

Julie was able to show up completely as herself for her shoot. She knew I was on board with the vision, we’d built a relationship throughout our prep work, and we HAD FUN! I checked in with her comfort levels as we worked and demonstrated poses so that she knew exactly what to do to hit the vibe.

Am I the only one who can’t get over the mood in these photos???

Shout out to Julie for stepping out of her comfort zone and rocking her shoot!

With dark, moody, and feminine vibes,

Alana
