When The Nourish Market first reached out to me about working together on a brand photography project, I couldn't contain my excitement. With my degree in Health and Physical Education from what seems like a hundred years ago, promoting a healthier lifestyle has always been a passion of mine. I get super fired up about working with brands that are aligned with my values and The Nourish Market does just that.
And the best part? The company is owned and operated by two female holistic nutritionists AND they’re from my hometown of Cornwall, Ontario!

The Nourish Market already had a stunning collection of product and merch photos, & even video. But what they wanted from our collaboration were striking photos of THEMSELVES, THE FOUNDERS, for various purposes including:
Introduction posts on social media to humanize their brand
Website images to introduce themselves as the founders
Storytelling & education posts
As part of the process, the first thing I do is send clients my handy-dandy planning guide. The guide covers things like choosing on-brand props, location, and clothing.
To ensure I capture my client’s vision for the shoot, I always start by having them create a Pinterest board. This allows them to visually communicate the photo aesthetic they want to achieve in their photos.
From there, we make a custom shot list that includes all of the must-have images, and this becomes our concrete plan on shoot day.
For this session, we opted for two distinct rooms at Skye Studio to add variety to the images: Sandstone & Daybreak. The team at Skye Studio is just so talented and both rooms are so dreamy and provided the perfect backdrop for our images.
